Biography
Avik Kumar Das holds a postgraduate degree in Museology (M.Sc) from the University of Calcutta. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from the Department of Museology, University of Calcutta. His doctoral research focuses on the commercialisation of the traditional arts and crafts of West Bengal. He is presently appointed as an Associate Scientist ‘A’(Curator) at the P.C. Mahalanobis Memorial Museum and Archives of the Indian Statistical Institute, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India.
