Title: Terracotta Army
Description: This photo was clicked at Poshina village of Sabarkantha district, Gujarat. Poshina is a quaint remote village that offers a rugged charm, and if Gujarat’s history is anything to go by, some of the fiercest battles were reportedly fought by the warring groups of Rajputs – those battle-hardened clans of Northern India.
Some people of the village have good craftsmanship in making nice and creative shapes of horses from clay. The clay horses are known as “Manetar ka Ghoda” or “Terracotta Horses.” One can find many horses made from clay near the village, under trees, in open grounds, or near small temples.
